The art of invoking emotions through words

What Could You Do

What could you do
with your mind,
for a mind
is but a tool
to be shared
with those deserving.
You’d do the same
as you would
with your heart,
for a heart
is but a tool
to be shared
with those deserving.

Taken down,
the phoenix rises
with more fire in his heart
than can ever be placed

Oh.

Oh, my doors wide open, won’t you come on in
and tell me that this war I’m fighting, I’m about to win.

Supplanting

Ransacked
Though ever so slightly.
Such an illusion everlasting
Into shades shone submissively.
Sectioned off gaps
Allowing to pass
A simple bright staff
Eluding the one thing you fear.
Diligently viewing
This abstract accommodation
Has afforded your vessel
A satisfactory sensation
Supplanting the demons
Density dismally.

Now

Hold the phone.

It’s been so long

since the butterflies have flown.

Only reaching

for whats been shown,

neglecting to find

the light that shone.

Strong enough to blind.

Safe.

Simple.

Kind.

Now’s the time to react.

In fact,

now’s the time.

You waited years to shine.
